For those who want on-point hair or love searching for new hairstyles which look great for the season, it can be overwhelming when you start to notice all the ideas emerging. That’s why we’ve put together some of the hottest Autumn 2018 hair tends which are going to be rocking everywhere from the catwalk to the high street.
Headbands Are Back!
Hooray! We love this trend because it’s so versatile, yet practical too, keeping our locks out of the way in an effortless and stylish fashion. Headbands are making their way back this season, including black leather designs, claw-tooth headbands and glitzier numbers which are ideal for getting your party season wardrobe in place.
Claw Clips & Messy Buns
Buns are set to stay with grungy up-dos for those looking for a quick fix. You can even add a luxurious twist by adorning your bun with accessories if going to an event. Another item which is making a comeback is the claw clip if you prefer keeping your hair up at the back.
Ponytail Magic
Ponytails are great in the Autumn, keeping strands at bay in the windier weather or for rocking the casual vibe. Ponytails are becoming more diverse, and you don’t have to feel stuck with a severe look. A great idea is a slightly dishevelled ponytail which leaves softer pieces of hair around the ears to a create feminine style.
Boost Your Curls
With the rise of naturally curly hair throughout this year’s trends, it’s great to see everyone still loving their curls. We’ve even seen curlier styles hitting Hollywood, creating a glamorous ‘afterparty’ look which brings retro hair into the 21st century.
Wet & Wavy
‘Wet’ looks are certainly in this season, creating waves which are sleek, sophisticated and keep their hold while retaining a slightly damp texture. Wet roots also remain popular – great for slicked back hair which doesn’t need pinning to stay in place.
The Flick
One of the trends which has caught our eye is slightly flicked hair, created by bending the ends of the hair around a curling iron rather than wrapping them. This idea works great with a bob, giving a nod to the 60s yet creating a modern finish which celebs are loving.
Centre Partings
Centre partings don’t have to be boring. Some of the best styles emerging this Autumn include those which incorporate waves throughout the lower locks, romantic ringlets and sleeked back hair for a more chic and elegant look.
Side Swept Fringes
Building on the centre-parting trend, if you have a fringe, opting for a little more growth and sweeping it to the sides looks great. Tuck it behind the ears and secure in place with clips or pins and of course, a little bit of hairspray.
